an Oak Apple
The Oak Apple Community Cafe

The Oak Apple Café was established after the closure of the village post office, shop, café and pub as an opportunity for the village to get together for a light lunch, cup of tea, a slice of cake and – most importantly – a chat.

The café is open every Friday at the village hall, generally between 1:30 and 4:00 although times may vary, and runs as a companion to the outreach post office.

The café is run for the benefit of the community by volunteers and the profits are used for the benefit of the parish, or given to charity. Periodically, money is raised for specific projects such as the school, the church or a local group.
